Kristin lives in southern Maine with her family. Her car and house are full of sand, and that’s a good thing. She prefers bare feet and all things thrifted.  Lately she captures her everyday moments with her iPhone. You can find Kristin and her work on her blog, maine momma.

on the nightstand:

am loving:

  • open windows
  • sandals & skirts season

what’s one item in your summer wardrobe you can’t go without?

comfy flip flops.

what’s your idea of the perfect summer meal?

fresh tomatoes quartered and sprinkled with salt and pepper  and as much corn on the cob i can consume.

what is your summer theme song this year?

anything Van Morrison sings feels like summer to me, even on the coldest winter day.

what are three constants in your day?

  • my morning cup of coffee
  • dangly earrings
  • family dinners

tell us about the inspiration behind these photos.

i live in an old beach town with a relic of a playland. i love the weathered kitschy quality of it. it’s not shiny, hip or new. it’s busted, worn and nostalgic. some find it sad, but i see the sweet forgotten tenderness in it all.

  1. Old New England beach towns have so much character to uncover. Really enjoyed seeing a slice of Maine through your perspective. Double that yes to corn and tomatoes and plenty of time playing in sand.
